Guest guest
I don't think people die from die off but you can get pretty sick. I spent a couple weeks on the couch, that's why it is best to go slow. I didn't go slow and regretted it. I was just learning though and that is what is so nice about gapshelp, there are people who have been down the road before you that can help. jo > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am celiac and allergic to dairy and palm(olein) oils. also have rather bad sensitivities to amines and salicylates (but can tolerate small amounts since on strict gluten free/dairy free/palm free diet. Is it a matter of going very gradually eg only eating a few tsp broth per day and build up? Some of my amine senstivity reactions include severe tummy cramps and diarrhoea. I am looking at trying water kefir too (never tried it before). > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am extremely sensitive, and any changes I make need to be gradual. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Miranda > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I would also like to learn more on how to handle the effects of die-off. Our current doctor suggested taking charcoal to minimize the effects. Haven't research this yet. Is anyone doing this? My daughter's Chinese herbalist though helping the liver (Milk Thistle, etc.) would help minimize die-off. Anyone have any successes or suggestions?ClareOn May 29, 2010, at 8:50 PM, miranda.flemming wrote: yes, I've been reading about the die-off. Is die-off a theory or are there some research articles I can read about it? Can die off be fatal if someone goes too fast and gets too sick? I read in the archives about people that ended up with fungus in the lungs etc from going too fast Miranda > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am celiac and allergic to dairy and palm(olein) oils. also have rather bad sensitivities to amines and salicylates (but can tolerate small amounts since on strict gluten free/dairy free/palm free diet. Guest guest
I would highly recommend Entera Klenz. My first forays into changing diet to try to solve health problems was a candida (eliminating) diet, and the die off was just nasty. So the next time I did a detox (30 days on the Master Cleanse, and I recently did 21 days of a water fast cleanse/detox) I used Entera Klenz. It's a mixture of activated charcoal powder and bentonite clay. Look it up, it's easy enough to find info on the net about it, they are both recommended for absorbing toxins. It sounds nasty, but it's actually kind of yummy tasting (they added the slightest bit of chocolate and xylitol, so you get a very mild chocolate taste.) I went through both detoxes without the slightest nasty side effect.
