I recently developed psoriasis, and my mom has suffered with it for 30+ years.

The research i have read has been that gluten is a major possible contributor to

psoriasis, as are the " nightshades " - tomato, potato, peppers, think there is

one more. the interesting thing to me is I was very allergic (igE) to wheat &

tomato throughout childhood and moderate allergic to potato's. In my late teens

i was retested and told I had outgrown nearly all food allergies.

Ummmmm...spent my adulthood suffering from migraines and several autoimmue

issues. I wonder if I every truely outgrew them. I took myself off gluten in

early Oct, time will tell. i assume it will take me a while to see if there is

a benefit to the removal of wheat. trying to get my mom to give it a shot too.

Interesting. I have psoriasis, however, I have not had a bad outbreak for 4

years or so (knock on wood), my NT daughter gets it on her elbows, NT son has

always had dry skin but my ASD son hasn't had anything. We are just starting

the diet but wondering if all of us would benefit from it. Thanks for the info.
