Guest guest
I have had my ASD son (age 11) on the MB12/Valtrex/Diflucan/Virastop protocol for about 5 weeks now. Things were humming along pretty well with no major issues until about 2 weeks ago. It has been getting really rough lately and I am wondering if I should add something, subtract something, back off of something, etc. He is currently on 500 mg Valtrex (split into 2 doses of 250 mg ea), 100 mg Diflucan (split into 2 50 mg doses a day), 1000 mg OLE (split into 2 500 mg per day), Black Elderberry 800 mg daily, 3 Virastop 3 x day, 1 Candex 2 x day, Bromelain 3 x day and 2 VSL#3 per day. I also give charcoal away from everything about once a day. He is on other supplements as well, but what I have listed is pretty much the viral/yeast stuff. We have had a major jump in OCD and sensory issues. On the sensory one, he is changing clothes 10 or more times a day and crying over it. He needs the shirts to cover a certain part of his neck and needs his clothes to be tighter. He is pulling his belt so tight, I am afraid he will do organ damage. He is also complaining of numbness in his left hand and part of his arm up to the elbow. The negative behaviors have been almost all day long. He has been pretty impossible to live with and I am not sure quite what to do. I keep thinking of that story about going on a bear hunt and think I just have to go through it (for those of you that know the story). Or do I really just need to back off of some things? I am trying to get through the worst before school starts up again. We have gone through some pretty rough things in the past with chelation and yeast battles, but this is definitely worse.
