Guest guest
VERY Important Vaccine Question Posted by: Dr. Mercola This important question comes from the National Autism Association. Sources: National Autism Association Dr. Mercola's Comments: The National Autism Association has posed a poignant, and long overdue, question to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA): How much longer will you approve vaccines that haven’t been tested in combination with one another? This is a consideration that every new parent needs to be aware of, as although individual vaccines have been tested for safety (with often not-very-reassuring results), the entire vaccination schedule has NOT, and neither have the other vaccines that are administered in groups of up to 14 at the same time. The current U.S. immunization schedule calls for children to get 48 doses of 14 vaccines by the time they’re just 6 years old. By age 18, federal public health officials say they should have gotten a total of 69 doses of 16 vaccines from day of birth to age 18. And now consider this: one vaccine injected into a 13-pound, 2-month-old infant is equivalent to 10 doses of the same in a 130-pound adult. Where is the common sense in these guidelines? Would any adult concede to being injected with 360 doses of vaccines within a couple of years’ span; equal to one injection every other day for two years? Public health officials have NEVER proven that it is indeed safe to inject this number and volume of vaccines into infants. What's more, they cannot explain why, concurrent with an increasing number of vaccinations, there has been an explosion of neurological and immune system disorders in American children. And that is why the National Autism Association has launched their “How Much Longer?†campaign. Why is the FDA Ignoring Cumulative Safety? Most people are well aware that if you take a drug along with another, you need to watch out for harmful interactions. The greater the number of different drugs you take, the higher the risk that an adverse outcome could result. Yet, the FDA has assumed that giving a child one vaccine at a time is equivalent, safety wise, to giving them five, 10 or 14 at a time. They have ignored the fact that giving multiple vaccines at one time is, in fact, very different from giving just one. According to W. , Jr., MD: “Giving too many vaccines over too short a time to infants whose nervous system is not yet fully developed can trigger autism and its spectrum of disorders.†And, according to Dr. Blaylock, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon and author, multiple vaccines given close together over-stimulate your brain's immune system and, via the mechanism of "bystander injury," destroy brain cells. Beyon that, components added to vaccines can cause further damage when vaccines are given close together. For instance, when you or your child is injected with a vaccine, the aluminum compounds it contains accumulate not only at the site of injection but travel to your brain and accumulate there. In your brain, aluminum enters neurons and glial cells (astrocytes and microglia). Studies have shown that aluminum can activate microglia and do so for long periods, which means the aluminum in your vaccination is priming your microglia to overreact. The next vaccine then acts to trigger the enhanced inflammatory reaction and release of the excitotoxins, glutamate and quinolinic acid, Dr. Blaylock points out. Meanwhile, if you come down with an infection, are exposed to more toxins (or more vaccines), or have a stroke or head injury of any kind, this will magnify the inflammatory reaction occurring in your brain due to the original vaccines. Research has shown that the more your immune system remains activated, the more likely it is you’ll suffer from a neurodegenerative disease. "Children Can Safely Receive Up to 10,000 Vaccines at Once"?! Dr. Offit, or as he is also known “For Profit†Offit, is a fairly well-known and frequent commentator in favor of vaccinations who dismisses many vaccine risks and promotes vaccine mandates. Dr.. Offit is not only a doctor, he formerly held a position on the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which helped create the market for rotavirus vaccine -- effectively benefitting from its profits. Though he has declined to say exactly how much he has gained personally, Age of Autism reports that Dr. Offit earned at least $29 million, and perhaps as much as $55 million, as part of a $182-million sale by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia of its worldwide royalty interest in the Merck Rotateq vaccine. So you might not find it too surprising to learn that Dr. Offit is also the doctor who made the infamous and incomprehensible statement, “an infant can safely receive up to 10,000 vaccines at once.†The concept that 10,000 antigens could theoretically be deposited uneventfully into the blood stream of either an infant or an adult defies logic and is a blatant disregard for mechanisms of human physiology. Yet this statement was actually published in the medical journal Pediatrics in 2002! This gives you an idea of what the National Autism Association is up against … but still they are doing their part to get the word out. Do You Want to Learn More and Get Involved? One of the best trustworthy vaccine information sources is The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), the American vaccine safety watchdog. Exploring the information on this site, as well as on the many pages of Mercola.com, will help you to get educated. I also highly recommend you review Dr. ’s more sensible vaccination schedule, which I published back in 2004. Many are both scared and confused as they try to make healthier choices for their children, and his guidelines may help you devise a more appropriate vaccination plan for your child -- a schedule that takes the best interests of your child into consideration rather than what biased government planners cite as being best for society. His is a far better approach than the "one-size-fits-all" dogma foisted on Americans by the CDC panel. You can learn even more by attending the International Vaccine Conference, which will be held in Reston, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.) October 2-4, 2009. It is the best vaccine conference in the world, and is only held about once every five years. It is relatively inexpensive to attend, and highly recommended. But you’ll need to hurry to reserve your seat as it occurs next week, and the remaining seats are going quickly! Related
Guest guest
I remember the British guy, Dr Waring, I think, highlighting the link between vaccines and autism, the British press went a bit crazy with it, the government flat refused to provide an alternative, I remember discussing it with my midwife, well I say dicussed, more the case that I was told if I didn't get my baby vaccinated I was a bad Mum, putting my baby at risk of all sorts of terrible diseases. Lots of people paid to have there children vaccinated separately, but this gave rise to rogue Drs using cheap vaccinations that might not have been effective, there is no way of knowing as the government won't test children that have not had the multiple vaccination to see if they are immune to the diseases. Then the Dr was discredited, we were told no one else could produce the same results, and that now they say they can absolutey, defininately tell us that there is no connection. I don't believe a word the government tells us,, and I still think more research need to be done in this area.
