Guest guest
We moved country when my son was 4. He clung to his accent and got teased (most kids change their accent quickly to fit in). He has a hybrid accent after 3 years. He's always been verbally articulate and speaks like a little professor. He's only just become aware of it - he observed that he talked with a very grown-up tone of voice, and other children didn't, but he couldn't help it. I said it's better than being an adult talking in a child's voice. Miranda
