Guest guest
, Embarrassing for them, but a REALLY good sign! They are detoxing. We have had BO problems with our kids, as well, but not that severe. I think the pecanbread website has some detox bath ideas--epsom salts, apple cider vinegar and clay are all good things to add to a bath to help draw out toxins. Maybe some essential oils to help mask the smell?? On another note (and, Sue, I think of you with your older son--this might be an idea to help, and he might actually enjoy it...), I have used a far infra red sauna for several years now and it has been a very, very effective way for me to detox. When I first started using it, I could name the chemical that I was detoxing by the smell of my sweat! (I used to work in a pretty toxic profession with a lot of distinctly smelling chemicals). The sauna has been the one alternative therapy that has really turned around my healing (although, obviously, I am not totally healed yet, or I wouldn't be here!). After starting GAPS my sauna sweat has gone back to smelling again, so I am hopeful for even more healing. For those of us with young kids, you can't use the sauna as they don't sweat sufficiently to cool their bodies and they can overheat. Google the book "Detoxify or Die" and check out www.hightechhealth.com or www.healthmate.com (I think that is right, at least.) If interested, you may have to invest in one (I did, and it has been worth every dime, especially when you consider how much we all dump on alternative health care and supplements), but some places have them and you can just rent time in one. chris mckinney wrote: Goodmorning all, One quick question here. We have been doing SCD since New Years and it's going very well so far. I have a 14 yo dd and a 10 year old dd that are having awful underarm odor even with deoderants. The 14 yo seems to have an all over odor that is just coming out of her skin. I picked up some chlorophyll hoping this woud help. They get so embarrased when they have to be around their friends and they are bathing daily. Help....
Guest guest
thanks for the idea. I bought a sauna, conventional plus far infrared, a few years back when my son had acne, but he doesn't like taking saunas. Never used the far infrared element. I was taking regular saunas but stopped because I'm not sure it's a good idea since I have a mouth full of amalgam fillings. I want to get them removed, but no time or dollars right now. thanks, sue v.
Guest guest
we're dealing with this issue as well, or should say i am. everything i do nothing works, i'm just a stinky person right now. the only thing that is some what helpful is to use coconut oil with some lavander and/or tea tree oil mixed in it and i apply that several times a day. also baby wipes work if your out and need to freshen up a bit. sam > thanks for the idea.
