Bugs/Agitation

My girl is on Luvox for OCD. I see it helping a little, but I see tons of

agitation still. Almost like she has tons of bugs and mosquitos on her type

agitation. Like all of a sudden she just she gets so agitated that she just has

to run out of the house and go to the store, and she is so darn agitated that

she won't take No for an answer. It's like she is jumping out of her skin all

day. Has anyone had a med. or supplement that helped with this? Thanks

You should call the doc and perhaps change to another SSRI med that works better.

I feel that way myself sometimes because of sensory issues. I just feel like my

skin is crawling. At those times I HATE to be touched. It doesn't make me want

to run out the door so much but I tend to want to crawl into bed and pull lots

of blankets on. Have you looked into sensory integration dysfunction. I think

my son likes to crawl under the sofa cushions to deal with sensory issues

sometimes. Weighted shirts and clothing can help. Brushing can help and other

occupational therapy things can help. We have these things called Body Sox.

They're like these big pouches with velgro to close them. Oriental Trading

Company has them for about $20 which is a great price since the occupational

therapy catalogues usually have them for no less than $30 depending on the size.
