That is what they need to see, a few days with different situations, they can't know what is going on with my daughter in 40 minutes. They look at me like I am making this stuff up!

Didn't you say your son was 14 or am I mixing you up with someone else? My son is 13 and his Bday is in two weeks. How are you dealing with his behavior? Things have gotten a lot better recently with my son since we started working with an ABA therapist. It wasn't so much the issues at home, but at school. Is your son on a behavior plan?

I feel like that every day, too. For the last two weeks since I hurt my right

arm trying to get my son up the stairs to brush his teeth it is so much worse! I

am crabby in pain all day at work and I can hardly lift my arm so it is

frustrating- am seeing Dr on Wed but I know it won't be a magic tendon fix and I

am angry (and hurt) that he just doesn't care that he continues to physically

hurt me! My bad for having him when I was 40, huh? I have been trying to get in

better shape so I can keep up with 7 and 8 year olds!! Wish me luck:)

he my boyfriend son i help raise the mom not in picture has seen her since he was one i try to be the mom he turned 15 yesterday i decorated the apartment with balloons and streamers made his favoriate meal. I tried to make it special at the end he looked sad i think he didnt like my present or it could be something else I bought him 2 beatle cds and the week before some clothes he picked out .i was disappointed he looked sad one cd i replaced he complained a while back his grandfather ruined on him and bought one he never had with classic hits i really tried to make it nice

I am so with you- I think my daughter, 13, and I ask ourselves this question daily - but it funny how you make it through and then there are tehese wonderful moments where you look and see the progress and just think - wow - we have come so far! Just take it one day at a time - you will get there eventually!

He might have been sad for something you have no control over. Maybe he was hoping some friend would comeover or something. I think what you did was great and especially since he is your boyfriend's son. You are a great person for putting forth such effort and being part of this group to try to help your bf son. He might appreciate it when he gets older and more mature. I hope you don't stop trying to be there for him. AS kids tend to have a hard time showing their feelings. thanks i do love him as if he mine.the next day he asked how he was gonna listen to it now he is i think wanted a game now he happy with the present.I do try to help him i was his mom before i got in the picture there was no structure at all.the grandfather interfered too much . the problem was the grandfather doesnt want to be on same page he makes a mess of things.I read a lot of books the group helps so much thanks again for your inputs this group very comforting at the bad days.
