Guest guest
I was wondering if the " head rush " feeling is something else entirely. I get what I think of as a blood sugar headache from various foods (strawberries, some dairy, kombucha, vinegar & honey in water, etc). Usually it is if this is the only food I've eaten in a while. I am sure that storebought kombucha, homemade water kefir, and apple skins have sugars left in them. Any thoughts on this theory? - --- Weiner <skweiner@...> wrote: > The odd part is that I get the same reaction from 24 hour yogurt, > storebought kombucha, homemade water kefir, and *apple skins*. Guest guest
I've wondered about it a lot! My top suspects are: die-off (but I don't get it from probiotics or fermented veggies) sugar (but I don't get it from straight honey or a half a pan of GF brownies made with white rice flour) amines (but I don't get it from 30 hour bone broth made from roasted bones) I also got the same reaction after eating out, a meal of salmon, fresh spinach, black beans, roasted veggies - celery, carrots, zucchini, ??; pico de gallo, tomatillo sauce, chile verde sauce, guacamole (from my food journal) I really don't know what to make of it! It's a buzzed/head rush feeling followed by irritability/emotional unstability, followed by gas. Totally has me confused. Guest guest
Hi, I agree that there are sugars left. I was bloating every time I drank kombucha and my N.D. confirmed with her bio-meridian machine that I was not tolerating it. dairy, home-made kimchee, and apples also make me bloat immediately. I've been doing whey ferments for years but thing I am going to have to put those aside and just make kraut with the salt method.
