Guest guest
From what I've heard, the best thing to do is get him to a homeopath for detox. That's what I'm going to be doing with my son and his severe allegies and other issues related to these allergies. After 6 weeks of DMSA we've decided to give him a break because of what we believe to be serious yeast issues. Behaviors out of control along with severe toe walking. It's been almost 2 weeks now without DMSA and our son is still toe walking higher and more than ever. We have him on threelac now to try and tackle the yeast issues. The only improvements we've seen since we stopped the DMSA (20 mgs 3 days a week on four off....every 4 hours)is no more depression and less dramatic with feelings mainly depression. Any suggestions to help our son with the toe walking issue? Will another form of detox work better for him (yeast issues )? Any help will be appreciated. Laurie mother of 9 yr. old Bennie. Guest guest
As to walking are his arches extreamely high? I recall seeing a young man who walked on his toes, and it was his archs. Struchered less, giving shoes? Massage/ Now I just began with the DMSA, and I have used other things, and been very uncomfortable[pain] but this is ok.My docs web is www.mountrogersclinic.com, and there is great info there. He was a shrink for 12 years. Mark Cobb invented threelac, and can be emailed at marklcobb@..., Mcarthy, www.tacanow.org used threelack for her son, and reversed his autism. Are you using the Fiengold diet? There are other things to use along with the threelack. My youngest, now 25 did not walk until he was 18 months either, and as concerned as I was, I was told this was a sign of a contented child! I was treated for bipolar for 14 years[overly medicated] but I was not and now know it was mercury, and a host of ailments and influences. A friend has a site, www.poisioning.com Hope I have helped, some how. Peace-Love-Oneness, Dona > > Our son didn't start toe walking until is 18 month MMR. Guest guest
That yeast infection..you do know..is...Candida....right?? It can be treated and detoxed.. I have done cold laser treatments to help detox.. I just recently started going to a Naturopath for my whole family.. My son, loves her.. She uses a cold laser and also suggests natural vitamins and supplements for him.. What I love about her is.... she will be able to do his well baby checks etc.. So no more worry about dealing with pediatricians hassling us to do the vaccines.. Yay..!!!! toe walks occasionally. He used to more often.. Rarely now.. We go back to the naturopath next week for a recheck on ' progress on the new vitamin supps and his last laser treatment and also to start treatment on me and my husband.. I can't wait.. Right now I am homeopathically treating a small case of ringworm..(a fungus) I am using a soap from the EO compamy (Therapeutic grade Essential Oils)to rub on it..The soap has peppermint and tea tree oil.. I think it is working.. http://www.eoproducts.com/ My naturopath has a very informative website.. http://www.healtheasy123.com/ I also have my website with lots of info on detoxing and whatnot.. http://www.freewebs.com/nontoxicsusan/ Please come by to check it out.. Hope this helps, > > Our son didn't start toe walking until is 18 month MMR. Guest guest
This may not be the best new. Some Toe walking is idiopathic, with no known cause, and they will outgrow it. Sometimes there develops a problem with the tendons and calf muscles, that can be repaired with cutting of tendon, wearing braces and casts, etc. Sometimes it is a precursor to diseases such as Duchanes muscular dystrophy. All these things have to be evalulated and checked out. BUT, it is also known that vaccines can cause cerebral palsey, usually with severe autism . I had a relative, who in the 1940's, developed CP after a childhood vaccine. Autism spectrum is also known to create toe walking. But dont discount the other reasons for Toe Walking. http://www.whale.to/vaccines/cb5.html Glad Day ~ Karla in IL
Guest guest
Have a PT check those ankle cords...... I never bought the sensory bridge. I demanded his ankle cords be checked and wellah! His cords were so tight he could not place his foot down flat. Once we stretched those cords wellah! No more toe walking.....

Guest guest
--- Usually after a bath[while warmed up] I would assist him in stretching them. You need to hold around the arch of the fool so it doesnt turn outwards and push the foot up towards the knee, hold for a few,and then have the child push back down. repeat.[we called them ankle pushes]We did this until he had proper range of motion. If your child is having PT have it checked and ask them to show you how to properly execute. I found it got worse after he began the EI program at the school when he was younger. eg: sitting in school chairs for older kids the little ones are sitting with feet hanging. When they hang toes are pointed toward the floor all day. Guest guest
We have a strange situation - do you have the same? We lie Sophie on her back and start the massage relating to lower body (as her upper body is fine already). It is like she has an unconcious reflex to point her toes - she cannot stop it, so this would give toe walking when standing. We have done some tailored brain gym massage and exercises every day before bed. Every day the reflexes have got less, her muscle sizes have shrunk, and the flexibility in her legs, ankles and toes has increased. After 2 weeks she nearly has no involuntary reflexes, and her limbs are very nearly loose and flexible once more. I am sure this is helping, becasue we are seeing totally similar result on toe walking - she is hardly doing it now On top of that she loves the massage (who doesn't!) and it makes her so sleepy in time for bed! Guest guest
 peter and all, l consider massage a very stimulating approach for our kids, it is an immense success when a child that doesn`t allow to be touched is then enjoying touch.... a dear friend of mine introduced me to this information, she is having great success with her children using the masgutova method (it is a massage, but its healing technique reaches so far as re-patterning of neurologic connections).  She is using essential oils for the massage on her children, reporting mood-improvement, better sleep, among other benefits. hope you find it interesting.  blessings  lsa   Polish site AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#\ version=6,0,29,0','width','800','height','332','src','images/flash-main','qualit\ y','high','pluginspage','http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer','movie','i\ mages/flash-main' ); //end AC code To purchase any of the books or CDs, please contact: US Orders Tamlyn Hill 2234 Emerald Drive Castle Rock, CO 80104 ph. 303-862-5205 email: tamlynhill@... Will keep you posted Tthanks From: johnalyssa43 Date: Fri, 5 Feb 2010 06:31:34 -0800 Subject: RE: [ ] Toe walking  Please keep us posted on his progress with this therapy to help with toe walking. I will be eager to hear how he responds. I am thinking that " exercising " the part of the brain responsible for motor planning is perhaps the best approach to helping remediate this symptom...
