Second questionthe pain and

stiffness.

Right now I'm doing ok on Aleve.

I'm thinking about going out of town to see a rheumatologist

it, I should do it before the new insurance year starts our deductibles over.

Kathy,

I've had PA for five years. It has gotten progressively worse. But there appears

to me at times that it doesn't hurt in as many joints. I'll get a little break,

but then it all starts again. I can't speak for everybody.

As for finding a rheumy...that is a judgement call. If you are satisfied with

your family doc...fine. But for me, I needed to find someone who was a little

more up on what's happening in the PA field. If you decide to do it, then by all

means do it before the new ins. year. Around here you have to be referred by

another doctor and it's still 2-4 month wait if you are a new patient. Or for

even a check up. You have to be in an emergency state for them to see you

quickly. Mine will at least call me to see what is going on if he can't get to

me right away. He then will say, come in or call me in a new med. I am only on

Naproxen twice a day plus Evening Primrose Oil. It seems to be working ok for

now.

Kathy - Just to answer one of the items you listed - about progression - my

" rheumy " told me that some people with PA will spontaneous remit for a long

time, maybe always and be just peachy, others will go in and out of

remissions but not really get any worse, and some will continue to degenerate

- I guess it's all the luck of the draw. I'm choosing option 1 (a lifelong

remission); however, my knees refuse to cooperate :). The doc. didn't give

me any specifics such as 1/3 remit, 1/3 go in and out, and 1/3 degenerate -

but I'm willing to bet that the majority go in and out of remissions -

Best of luck to you,

,

You have to find a dentist that blocks the back of

your throat so the dust doesn't get into you. They

should be wearing gas masks and using a special vacumn

to suck it all up and cover your eyes with goggles or

shades.

You must ask the dentist if he does amalgam removal

if he flinches RUN. Don't pay to have any x-rays so he

can see more until you know he knows what he is doing.

I wasted a lot of money...letting them see...that

pisses the insurance off and they won't pay for the

removal.

They have to put it down as filing replacement and

will pay only if it is cracked etc. otherwise they

want the tooth pulled. Watch out , find a dentist that

knows, only a few in my area even would admit mercury

is dangerous.

The Targis can be a crown called an onlay or a filling

called an inlay. It is the safest but hard to use. it

is baked then glued in. you cant eat taffy but you

wont have mercury, or gold which settles in your

genitals and causes cancer or the radioactive stuff in

porcelin.

Good luck

Hello,

My son (3) was on Specific Carbohydrate Diet (with excellent results

until I messed it up) Jan-April. I recently started he and I both on

the dairy-free version as outlined at pecanbread.com He is refusing

veggies and I have been withholding fruits because I believe he has

yeast. However, I realized today that I have to give him some fruits

anyway, so that he can stay upright! We'll deal with any yeast in a

subsequent stage.

I recently received the book 'Gut & Psychology Syndrome' and Bio-Kult.

Questions:

1. I see this list is for those doing GAPS or BED. Are they

essentially the same diet? If not, can someone direct me to a list

that is specific to GAPS? (I feel at risk of being easily confused by

info about two diets on one list.)

2. I read in GAPS about how to intro dairy, and to hold off on certain

foods while diarrhea is active. Other than that, does GAPS propose

going ahead and eating everything on the 'recommended' food list? Or

is the idea to introduce each food slowly, methodically, carefully (as

on pecanbread)? I am just curious as to whether the GAPS author feels

that problems will clear up sooner or later without worrying too much

about what and when.

Thank you!

Baden

even if you do not have thyroid i would go slowly with meication.even people

with ms many times start at 1.5 mg then 3 and then higher if they can.

you might not have to be so strict as your son with the diet but for sure you

have to clean candida and no sugar no gluten no soy and no caseine might improve

your health greatly.

the Autism group they stress how important the GF/CF diet is to be strictly

inforced to get the best benefits of LDN. Wouldn't that also hold true for

adults using LDN? Do I need to change my diet before taking the LDN? I also have

Grave's disease which resulted in a total thyroidectomy. Since I no longer have

a thyroid LDN should not effect my Thyroid replacement hormones or would it?
