Guest guest
wrote: > Hi Bee, Is there anything we can do to stop teeth grinding when we are asleep? is it a sign of illness or cause by Candida? ==>Candida doesn't directly cause teeth griding. It is mostly caused by a lack of nutrients, particularly calcium, magnesium and vitamin B Complex which need all of their co-factors in order to be absorbed, which is the entire diet and supplements recommended. It can also be caused by stress (candida is stress by the way). ==>Taking calcium and magnesium at bedtime can help, as well as deep breathing exercises through the nose before bedtime and a relaxing epsom salts bath. See the Breathing folder for exercise. Bee

Guest guest
For us this was calcium deficiency and/or Vitamin D, and/or Vitamin K deficiencies. Guest guest
Probably a mineral deficiency. priscillasohsh wrote: > > My son started grinding his teeth since few weeks ago (only during > waking moments). > Any idea what is this caused by? > > tks > > Priscilla > >

Guest guest
First thing I would try would be magnesium and then after a few days add in zinc or calcium. See if that helps. You asked if Magnesium oxide was okay. I think with magnesium, you give whatever form your child can handle. Magnesium glycinate was the most gentle for my two boys. Any other form of magnesium gave them diarrhea. It is a trial and error thing. Guest guest
My son did this last night and it was driving me crazy. He is sick and was also coughing on and off all night long, he has some crud built up in his lungs which makes it difficult to breathe (bronchitis?) Anyway, I never heard him do it before he got sick, he was also moaning and making high pitched little mouse noises - poor baby > > > > My son started grinding his teeth since few weeks ago (only during > > waking moments). > > Any idea what is this caused by? > > > > tks > > > > Priscilla > > > > >
Guest guest
what about nighttime-only teeth grinding? I do find for my daughter it's noticeably better on the days I remember to give Calcium/Magnesium/Vit D supplement in the evenings...and worse when I forget. Guest guest
According to Dana's view, It could be any of the following : Improper mineral absorption like improper zinc/copper ratio. For some kids, deficiency of calcium [ give it with vitamin K]. For some kids, yeast overgrowth. Night time teeth grinding is sleep could be parasites. Thanks, Maya > > what about nighttime-only teeth grinding? > > I do find for my daughter it's noticeably better on the days I > remember to give Calcium/Magnesium/Vit D supplement in the > evenings...and worse when I forget. >

Cal/mag was helpful for teeth grinding for one of my kids. He needed the calcium with vitamin K for proper absorption. Dana

Guest guest
There are many safe over the counter products you can use. Things with Cloves, wormwood, black walnut hulls, pumpkin seeds among other things in them. You can also get a prescription for Alina or Vermox from your pediatrician. This April it will be a year that we have been treating for parasites. They are very hard to kill and contribute to a lot of bad behaviours for our daughter. I wish more people would recommend parasites treatments for kids. This is gross, but last night I went through my daughter poop with a Q-tip (I removed the cotton) and I was in shock at how many pinworms were in her poop. Chelation will bring the parasites out of the tissues and they will settle in the gut. Parasites tend to live in tissues where mercury is, they love the charge the mercury gives off and mercury loves to live in the fatty tissues. Once you start chelating and moving metals around, you're also moving parasites around. You can try your local healthfood store for treatment. You can also google Hulda e and try her parasite regimen. There is also a product called PinX at any drugstore. Sorry to go on here. But parasites are such a huge problem for my daughter. Getting rid of them is so important to recovery. > > > > what about nighttime-only teeth grinding? > > > > I do find for my daughter it's noticeably better on the days I > > remember to give Calcium/Magnesium/ Vit D supplement in the > > evenings...and worse when I forget. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Just mentioning that there is a tissue salt that can help with worms - Nat Phos. Guest guest
My son used to grind his teeth until we started GF/CF. As soon as we started it stopped. We went off the diet for a while and the tooth grinding came back. I am thinking its more parasites issue, I don't see the signs of phenol issues. It might take him a time to go to sleep . Main problem is grinding of teeth. His zinc level is fine confirm by testing. If I dont find out why he is grinding his teeth he might not have any teeth left. SO I'm trying to find out what others are giving for parasites. Guest guest
For us teeth grinding was caused by improper ratio of zinc and copper. More specifically, my son's copper is very low and zinc is normal to high. He also gets nosebleeds if copper is too low.
