Guest guest
Hi , Google or look up "Minute to Win it" games from the TV show. On the website, there are a ton of cute games that kids can do. Like bouncing ping pong balls into a cup, knocking cans over with a yo-yo, getting cotton balls into a bowl, etc. You can plan several of these games, they only take a minute each and you can give small prizes to each winner. You can also prepare with your son and practice ahead of time, so he has a chance to win some of them. If you want another craft type activity, I would suggest make your own T-shirts. At 's or similar craft stores, you can get cheap ($3) black or white t-shirts, and fabric pens or paint. It is messy, but the kids have fun with it and have a nice keepsake. For food you may want to do something special, like make your own pizza or sundae with choice of ingedients. Hope these ideas help and that your son has a great party! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Suzanne suzmarkwood@... I'm going to invite 3 boys and would like some fun things to do--like only a couple of things to break up the electronic games for the boys. I've only done family parties for my boy so this will be a first for him. I want it to seem more than a playdate with friends, but not sure what to do honestly for the boys. Any suggestions? Thanks for any input!
Guest guest
A sleepover could work for the party. But since this is a first party - maybe start with something more structured and with a definite start and end time. Some things my son liked to do for a stay-at-home party was - A warm-up game. I usually pick a theme and then have something related to the theme. A friend had a space theme and then had the boys crawl through a tunnel made of cardboard boxes to enter the " spaceship " . For a Harry Potter theme, I handed the boys plastic eyeglass frames and tattoos to stick on to get in the mood. We had a camping party where I set up the tent in the backyard and then had someone tell a story for one of the activities. Make your own pizza - let the kids roll out the dough and add their own pizza toppings. A WII game - or something where the kids get to move and jump around and yell. Later - Watch some movies - with plenty of popcorn and snacks Check out the Family Fun website (owned by Disney). My Mom got a subscription to the magazine when my kids were little. They have great ideas for kids games and decorations. Here's the link: http://familyfun.go.com/
Guest guest
Thanks for your ideas. The ideas sound more on target for my nt kids. I don't mean to sound like a debbie downer, but my son only eats about 10 foods and never has done make believe. > > A sleepover could work for the party.
