Guest guest
Barbara-- Thank you for your passionate and eloquent statements and for being crystal clear! That is much appreciated on this end. This forum has been a lifesaver for me and it would be sad to cloud it up with more of what we all face in our own worlds everyday.I for one am interested in anything that relates in anyway to the environment. I must admit (embarrassingly so), prior to finding out that my home had toxic (at least to me) mold, and having to leave it and everything, I wasn't much concerned about the environment. Now, if I consider that the only really decent air for me is the outside air (as I may never be able to completely trust "inside" air again)--I have a very different and new perspective on environmental issues. Each of our respective situations is different, and in my case, one little morsel of information could be the difference between health and sickness, winning or losing my case, or learning vital information that without it could add years of burden vs.comfort. Going off topic is a subjective thing, yet as a moderator you have done a beautiful and very difficult job. I support however you need to "manage" this list for it to be as valuable to all as it can be.It would be nice however, in this little corner of cyber-space that we truly all come together with just our mold and related issues, not politics.I'm pretty sure that's possible. Thank you for keeping us monumentally informed and thanks to all of the members of this list who have made a huge difference in my life, whatever your views are! On this list, there are nopolitical agendas, no right or left wing, no democrats or republicans, nomarginalized people, no elite, no ruling class and most of all no outsiders. We are bound here by our common humanity and by our frailty as humans.Personally, nothing makes me madder than radio and television personalitieswho promote entertainment over content and through a lopsided agenda, overlook the failings of whatever "side" they've chosen to shill for. Theyseek to undermine, divide, disinform and ultimately, I believe, brainwashand fracture us into meaningless and ineffectual idiots incapable ofexercising our inherent critical reasoning skills. We are first andforemost humans. What unites us is far stronger than anything that dividesus - so long as we keep compassion and humor in our hearts and in our lives. As moderator of our group, it's my job to make sure that everyone who signsup gets access to the information they need. It makes no difference what Ipersonally believe in, the most important thing I can do is help peoplelearn all they can about the health effects of mycotoxins so they can starton the road to healing before their exposure turns into a serious illness ordeath. That is why I shared Doug Kaufmann's book, "The Fungal Link" withour group. Whether you are buddhist, christian, muslim or nothing at all, makes absolutely no difference to toxic mold - it can and will takeadvantage of you and ruin your home, your health and your life if you letit. Doug has zeroed in on this and I have found that following hissuggestions have had an amazing effect on my health and that of my 10 yearold son, Max.For years, our group has been right there on the cutting edge of newdiscoveries in the effects and treatment of toxic mold, even as somegovernmental agencies who should be working for us instead work overtime tosuppress this information. We do this by letting everyone have a forum todiscuss their concerns, their symptoms and what they are learning.Information is not part of a political agenda - in fact if anything it isoften the one thing that keeps politicians out of our lives and in theirplace. I am weary beyond belief in a world where everything has becomefiltered through a lens of political agenda. The only time I have feltcensorship was necessary was when a member was promoting the use of ozone asa means to rid one's home of microbes. The science speaks for itself on theinhalation of ozone - as does the fact that millions of people exposed tosmog develop respiratory or asthmatic conditions.Since our group and postings have grown these past few years, perhaps it istime to begin prefacing our posts with a code the way other large groups do.I welcome your input on this subject. If you aren't familiar with thissystem from another group, the subject line hypothetically would read [Med]if the posting were medical information or [Hum] if a joke, etc. We coulduse [RA] for someone requesting assistance. Today I will go back and reviewthe content of our postings for several months and try and put forth someideas that might work. For those of you who are able to get the entire"digest" format through your ISP, this helps when scanning down through theposts for information you find of interest rather than wading through 20 or30 individual posts. For others who have Juno or web tv or serviceproviders who restrict the size of the mail you receive, please consider theoption many of our members use of going "no mail" and then signing onperiodically to look thru old messages. Whatever way you chose toparticipate, as long as it works for you, then it works for me.Barbara HerskovitzFAIR USE NOTICE:This site contains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
