Guest guest
Dana, you had written that the B vitamins with the exception of Biotin, shouldn't be given at bedtime because of the B vits being 'energizing' or something like that. But, what about Vitamin B6 -which I give with the Magnesium? I've heard that Magnesium whould be give at nighttime and that B6 should be given along with the Magnesium. Is it ok to give the B6 at night? I also give her the B Complex vitamins in the morning. My teen daughter often has difficulty falling asleep at night due to overactive thinking! She has OCD/Perseveration along with Aspergers. So, I don't want to give her any supplement that would make it harder for her to fall asleep and also stay asleep at night. Another question: Is the Magnesium supposed to be given in a certain balance with Zinc? My 16 year old girl takes 500 mg of Magnesium Oxide. How much Zinc would she require, if any? She is heavy and she's large boned, weighing 195 pounds at 5 ft 4 inches tall. She drinks-eats lots of calcium products so she doesn't take any calcium supplements with her Magnesium. I believe there is supposed to be a balance with Magnesium, Zinc and Calcium? Thanks for your help, Dana! And anyone else that has advice on these issues too.
