We started Peptizyde about five days ago, and we've got the common

symptoms....strong hyperactivity, impulsivity, increased thirst and big-time

increased urination, etc.

I've been searching the posts, but haven't been able to figure out the best way

to handle this.

1. Decrease his multivitamin? It's the only source of B vitamins he's getting.

He does take separate high doses of mag, zinc, calcium already, which is

supposed to help with the hyperactivity, so I don't want to back off those.

2. Take activated charcoal to control what might be some yeast die-off?

3. Back off the enzymes a bit? We had been on another enyzme for awhile so I

didn't do as slow a dosing schedule as recommended.

4. Stop whining and work through it...just counting the days till we get to

three weeks or so?

5. Do some OT techniques to help him handle the possible additional sensory

input?

My son is nearly recovered and we are attempting to get off GFCF. That's the

point for the enzymes. Anything other benefits from them is a total bonus. He

was at an awesome point just before starting the enzymes....we were just so very

tired of GFCF. Just hoping I didn't mess things up.

One more question. With the typical three week adjustment period, is it 100

percent bad until those three weeks are over, or does the hyperactivity peak at

a certain point in those weeks and then fade slowly? I know it's different for

each person, but any anecdotal info also is welcome.

Thanks for the input.
