Guest guest
Hi, has anyone's child been in this situation? My 12 year old son has been taking 300mg Seroquel for 6 months. He has had intermittent motor tics since pre-K, with a surge in the frequency of them for 2 different periods of time. Well, there was a sudden increase in the motor tics a few weeks ago. I let the dr. know, but then upon reading some things, I just asked her what the difference was between tics and tardive dyskinesia. She said it can be hard to tell; the plan has been to slowly decrease the dosage, so she wants to continue that. However, I have done some research, and they are going to look similar! But, if it is tardive dyskinesia, they can be permanent, so I need to figure this out. I have e-mailed the doctor and asked to have him seen, she said I can bring him in sometime tomorrow. Has anyone else been in this position? I am really stressed. Thanks, Liz T.
