It's definitely kid behavior -- my NT 8yo also asks me " Is that Seabiscuit? "   But the degree to which it happens is probably the difference between just kid behavior and Aspie behavior.

I'd suggest you have him write down all his questions, instead of asking him.  Then at the end of the movie, you can use this as a conversation starter.  He can check off the questions he got answered, ask the questions he didn't get answers to already, and you can discuss parts that he was thinking hard in advance about - " Wow, it was really exciting when that happened, wasn't it?  I didn't expect it at all. "

We've taken to using the " Question Sticks " that our 6-yr-old son's teacher uses

with him at school. He gets 5 popsicle sticks, which equal 5 questions he may

ask. Once he " spends " (gives us) all of the questions, that's it, he can't ask

any more. It helps him " budget " his sticks and think before blurting out a

question. :)

You don't have to use popsicle sticks... You can used colored slips of paper,

tokens, M & Ms, pieces of popcorn... whatever you have at your disposal! :) The

key is to be consistent and let them know that it's something to help them

concentrate on the movie/book and allow others to concentrate, too. :)
