Guest guest
I just wanted to thank everyone for reassuring me my son is ok. It was just one more thing to add to his already hectic, stressful life. After our ped. visit I walked out and told my hubby " I can't deal with another problem right now, can't our poor child get a break! " He is tall for his age, growing in every other aspect I just don't want him to have something else for the other boys to make fun of him " in the locker room " for. You can have the " everyone grows at different rates and everyone is " sized " different " but that darn male ego seems to kick in so early, hee hee. We'll just wait and see I guess as there really isn't much that can be done at this point. Thank you again everyone, hugs! > > I have a weird question but didn't really know where else to go with this...my > 13 1/2 yr old son (with aspergers & sensory integration issues)hasn't started > puberty. Guest guest
On the age thing, my son was delayed also. At one point the doctor asked us about prescribing growth hormone but we declined. Another doctor told us about the growth plate tests but a third told us that baby tooth loss and growth is a pretty accurate indicator of where the child is at in relation to the average. Our son had delayed loss of baby teeth and growth of adult teeth.
