Guest guest
My daughter takes it in the morning. She is 12 about 60 lbs. She started at 25 mg. The first few weeks of an increase I saw her shaking her legs in the evening. It went away by the third week. We increased it after 6 weeks to 50mg, than 3 months later when her anxiety was up again we increased it to 75mg. It really helped with reducing her panic attacks when she would lose something, she has less panic about loud noises, she copes better with the feel of clothes. I also work with a behaviorist about her outbursts whenever there is something she wants that she has to wait on. I don't want to add abilify until I am sure I have done all I can with the beahviorist. Her anxiety sometimes looks like OCD. If your child has OCD like fears the dose can go over 100mg. For most kids with autism they seem to have less side effects at the lower doses. Good luck. Pam > > We are trying it in a low dose, and I'm wondering when is the best time to give it to my son. Guest guest
My son is also on 54mg of the Zoloft. I also give it to him in the morning, as the doctor told us, it take a little bit to work into his system. His main issue was also anxiety, and it has worked very well, as he used to get very worked up on many different things. Guest guest
Yeah, my son's in that neighborhood, and those are pretty much his issues. Taking it in the evening seems to be working for us. His fears were affecting his sleep (and ours for that matter). He also has the other fear issues and gets worked up. It seems to be helping, but it is still very early. - > > > > > > We are trying it in a low dose, and I'm wondering when is the best time to give it to my son. Morning or evening.
