My daughter was given written notes from the teacher (in 5th grade).

We have an IEP and she was in a class with a co-teacher.

My daughter did not get the notes ahead of time. She was

to try and take notes and was after the class or the next day

given notes.

It is reasonable to expect that they give you a schedule

of what they are working on so you can preview the lesson

and also an extra set of books at home. You can also

ask for study notes for tests and intermediate milestones

for any long projects.

difficult to have notes provided to their child ahead of time? My son complains

that he can't see the board, even sitting in front. His eye's have been checked

several times and they are perfect. I'm beginning to think this difficulty is

all the distraction he has around the front of the room when he's looking at the

board that he feels he needs to squint to see. I'm thinking having the notes

in front of him on his desk would be helpful not to mention his writing is

horrible. Any suggestions or ideas?

yes...having copies of the class notes given to your son can be written in the IEP. Request it!
