Guest guest
Thank you Jerrod Mason. I am getting very tired of 30-40 emails a day about stuff that does not have anything to do with toxic molds, or sick buildings. Please, if you aren't talking about these items, and not irradiated mail, bad vaccines, and some guys tv show, please don't post on this website. Please find somewhere else to go play. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jerrod Mason Sent: Tuesday, February 05, 2002 6:03 AM Subject: [] Re: Off topic leftwing political postings Would someone please explain what the following post has to do with ""? Guest guest
First, let me be real clear about one thing. On this list, there are no political agendas, no right or left wing, no democrats or republicans, no marginalized people, no elite, no ruling class and most of all no outsiders. We are bound here by our common humanity and by our frailty as humans. Personally, nothing makes me madder than radio and television personalities who promote entertainment over content and through a lopsided agenda, overlook the failings of whatever " side " they've chosen to shill for. They seek to undermine, divide, disinform and ultimately, I believe, brainwash and fracture us into meaningless and ineffectual idiots incapable of exercising our inherent critical reasoning skills. We are first and foremost humans. What unites us is far stronger than anything that divides us - so long as we keep compassion and humor in our hearts and in our lives. As moderator of our group, it's my job to make sure that everyone who signs up gets access to the information they need. It makes no difference what I personally believe in, the most important thing I can do is help people learn all they can about the health effects of mycotoxins so they can start on the road to healing before their exposure turns into a serious illness or death. That is why I shared Doug Kaufmann's book, " The Fungal Link " with our group. Whether you are buddhist, christian, muslim or nothing at all, makes absolutely no difference to toxic mold - it can and will take advantage of you and ruin your home, your health and your life if you let it. Doug has zeroed in on this and I have found that following his suggestions have had an amazing effect on my health and that of my 10 year old son, Max. For years, our group has been right there on the cutting edge of new discoveries in the effects and treatment of toxic mold, even as some governmental agencies who should be working for us instead work overtime to suppress this information. We do this by letting everyone have a forum to discuss their concerns, their symptoms and what they are learning. Information is not part of a political agenda - in fact if anything it is often the one thing that keeps politicians out of our lives and in their place. I am weary beyond belief in a world where everything has become filtered through a lens of political agenda. The only time I have felt censorship was necessary was when a member was promoting the use of ozone as a means to rid one's home of microbes. The science speaks for itself on the inhalation of ozone - as does the fact that millions of people exposed to smog develop respiratory or asthmatic conditions. Since our group and postings have grown these past few years, perhaps it is time to begin prefacing our posts with a code the way other large groups do. I welcome your input on this subject. If you aren't familiar with this system from another group, the subject line hypothetically would read [Med] if the posting were medical information or [Hum] if a joke, etc. We could use [RA] for someone requesting assistance. Today I will go back and review the content of our postings for several months and try and put forth some ideas that might work. For those of you who are able to get the entire " digest " format through your ISP, this helps when scanning down through the posts for information you find of interest rather than wading through 20 or 30 individual posts. For others who have Juno or web tv or service providers who restrict the size of the mail you receive, please consider the option many of our members use of going " no mail " and then signing on periodically to look thru old messages. Whatever way you chose to participate, as long as it works for you, then it works for me. Barbara Herskovitz
