Guest guest
Melani, All lists gets these emails. It would impossible to eliminate them all. Usually, what happens is that someone's account is hacked and so they are sending out multi-emails to everything in their address book. What happens on my list is that when someone does that, I automatically change their settings to "moderated" and delete any posts that are like this that come through. However, some will still get through. In general, it is best not to click on links that come in emails with no message, no subject line or that have multiple addy's in the "TO" line of the email. Roxanna "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." - Jefferson ( ) spam or worse coming through list It seems as though the moderator(s?) have a good handle on this group. However, every so often, perhaps weekly, a message will come through the group with images or other spam. I don't open them, of course, but can read the first line through my gmail. Is everyone else getting these. At first I just set up a filter so that messages from those sender would be diverted to spam straight away. But, then new ones appear from 'new' sender names. Thanks for any help with this, Melani
Guest guest
Thanks Roxanna,I have just noticed more in the recent past. It is easier to spot them while on the computer. But I've had a near miss or two while reading this list on my smart phone as one can't always see the subject line. And I don't seem to get them on my Chronic pain, Migraine, or Alzheimer's lists; but maybe they don't have the volume this list has. Is there any way of filtering messages with empty subject lines? Thanks for addressing this. On Sat, Nov 20, 2010 at 8:19 AM, Roxanna <MadIdeas@...> wrote: Melani, All lists gets these emails. It would impossible to eliminate them all.
