Well, you might try vinegar in the wash and maybe borax.  I use a laundry soap called Charlie's Soap, http://www.charliesoap.com/ that will get all the residue out of clothes.  I started using it when I used cloth diapers, but we loved it all so much that we still use it.  You can find it locally in some places and online.  But I'd try the vinegar and/or Borax first if you have either on hand.  Borax is usually carried in grocery stores in the laundry section.

Can you keep washing the stuff until it's gone? Or,,,,can you hang the stuff out on the line to dry it......and then shake the "gel" off?

Hang it on the line to dry... I think the goo will disintegrates eventually !

Been there and done that before ! lol
