Princeton Community High School Vice Principal Steve Hauger, who coordinates the program that is taught by Myron Huey, confirmed Wednesday that there were no classes that day at the leased space in the old Gibson County Bank building on the north side of the Princeton square. Hauger said classes will be temporarily conducted at the high school while he and other members of a committee named by school board president Oldham Tuesday night find suitable classroom space. The alternative program is for students who have difficulty in a traditional class setting. Since its inception, the program has been conducted at Camp Carson and, when the fee to Camp Carson doubled, in leased space in the former bank building. Huey told school board members there's a problem with mold in the building, but landlord Jeff of Princeton said Tuesday that no one ever contacted him. Huey said Tuesday night that the county health department and a state health department environmental engineer have been in the building at his request. Board members Key and Lee McConnell criticized Huey for " blindsiding " by calling in health officials and telling the school board without talking to him. Oldham asked Hauger, Huey, board member Jerry Whitehead and McConnell to study the issue and bring a report to the board February 5. Hauger said Wednesday that Huey had spoken with him about the classrooms and he has been " vigorously searching " with Huey for an more suitable location. <snip>
