Guest guest
, well, you will find the CT scan a lot easier to do. The reason many surgeons like to get both CT and MRI done is because each provides data in different ways. Guest guest
, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) works with magnets....so it can affect both the external and INTERNAL portions of a coclear implant. CT Scanner does not have a magnet so it won't wipe out your maps...... or hurt the implant itself. Happy Hearing! Guest guest
CT scans are magnetic? If that were the case then wouldn't CT scans be contraindicated for those with implants? In any case, I left my processors on the table in the room and everything was fine. So no problems holding them or having them in the room. In a message dated 1/24/2009 8:53:39 A.M. Guest guest
The internal array will show up on a CT scan. I have one here of me. In case anyone wants to see what an implant looks like inside your head. Dental fillings of metal or false teeth, braces, etc. anything else metal will show up. The stapedectomy prosthesis also showed up on my CT scan, although titanium. That is probably why the guy asked if you had anything else metal in your head, . ____________________________________________________________ Keep your pool in perfect summer shape with great swimming pool supplies. Guest guest
, CT scans don't use magnetics. That's why you can have them. And they don't wipe out anything. Often they give you a dish to put your earrings, glasses, processors and anything else they don't want pictures of in while you have the CT scan done. But they all stay in the room with you. Won't the magnetics from the CT scan wipe out my maps if I hold my processors in my hands? ____________________________________________________________ Click here to find great deals on vending machines. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/PnY6rw3Y2SiW5P6GTXVc6ZFrdPATvgPNg8TX\ tcfCSI0p9P13jnROT/

Guest guest
If this is another ignorant question, forgive me. (I'm still under the influence of cold meds. LOL!) Guest guest
Dear Worried Cristy, March 6 is about 3 weeks away. So not much time. May I suggest that you go to the Files section then Folder #5 Tutorials and then in order of them open each one up and study what ever is in each one. If you know it already then move on to the rest. If you are weak in math then study your heart out in math tutorials first, instead of in the order listed. Also the law and trade and generics. ONLY you know what areas you are weak in. If might help you to take some of the online quizzes and tests that I have on this site as well as those on other sites that I have listed in the files and links sections. Testing or quizzing now may help you to zero in on the areas that you need most help in. Ordering a book may take up half of the time you have left. You might try teh library to see if they have anything to lend or and Nobles has a few for sale. Did you use any books to study the last two times? If so which books? What did you like and dislike about them? Are you currently working in a pharmacy? Did you go to a school or tech program? OR are you studying from scratch on your own? In my opinion, it takes a gook 3 to 6 months of dedicated study for the AVERAGE person who is not working in a pharmacy to really understand all that may be asked on the exam that does nto require experience (soem questions do). Wishing you all the best, Keep me posted, if it happens again, well the site will be here for your entire study time for another test. But then again the third time is a charm! So you just may cinch it! Don't give up. Just try to find your weak spots and work on them the most along with math. Respectfully, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner > > ok i have taken THE test twice and fail...unfortunatelly. > and im taking it on march 6 for the third time.....i have > studied....like i studied for the previous times.Im just a little > worried i might fail it again. > i found this group, but i dont know where to start. > any tutorials or studyguides. > PLEASE HELP > THANKS >

Since it is an online course, you can get your login information and get started studying today. You will get our PTCB prep course, online top 200 drug flash cards, and online practice problems (normally a $79.95 value) by calling our office and speaking with Dottie.
