People often take the " wait and see " approach. But it usually isn't helpful to do that. Here is one case and point that she needs help. You can request a PT eval as well to look at her foot problem and see if it is significant. The autism specialist maybe does not have a program in place for high functioning kids with autism. This does not mean she should not be working on that. <g> The school is obligated to provide an appropriate educational program for kids with disabilities. So even if they don't have something in place already, if she qualifies for services, they will have to get something put into place for her. So don't let them push you back.
