question about noise and hyperverbal????

My son and I joined a social skills group. The adults meet in one room,

children in the other.

Most of the parents report that when their children experience high volume of

noise (in crowds or such) that their children become even louder or over

excited. I was the ONLY parent that reported my son hids, covers his ears and

becomes extremely anxious.

Which is more typical??? I thought aspergers kids can't tolerate noise?

Also most of the kids were hyperverbal. My son is hypoverbal ... if that is a

word ... Is hypoverbal common with aspergers or hyperverbal?
