?'s about diagnostic process

Hi all,

I just wanted to know how others have gone about this and if there is a standard

way in which it is supposed to work. We saw our pediatrician, who referred us to

a child psychologist. The psychologist did an AS assesment/questionarre with us,

said she had quite a few Autistic traits and wanted her to have a " team

evaluation " done. So, he wants us to see a neurologist and child psychiatrist. I

see that it is good to have more than one opinion, although, I was hoping for

one-stop shopping rather than chasing referrals, wait lists and dealing with our

insurance company.
