Guest guest
Symbicort IS great. My son takes it, as he has AS, asthma, chronic rhinusitis, AND allergies... LOL Poor kid.Anyway, he takes Symbicort, Singulair, and has taken both with several different medications - Concerta, Risperidone, and now Clonidine. NO issues whatsoever. Our allergy/asthma DR had us speak to our pediatrician to make sure, but she told me no problem, there's no interaction issues amongst them. That being said, I'm sure you were " warned " about Singulair... as it CAN cause behavioural issues - but like anything else, it wont' for EVERYBODY. It didn't cause any problems for my son, but it DID get his allergies/asthma under control. We now only take Singulair " when needed " .Hope this helps! =)On 08/19/10, tfitzge134@... wrote: Hi, Symbicort is great!! Nothing comes up but I'm wondering if anyone has had any personal experiences with all of these meds together or some similar cocktail. ....We are considering dropping the dose on the intuniv and possibly removing the vyvanse as my son is starting a new school - which is a special needs school and will only have 12 kids in his class .. He may be able to handle it w/o the meds but we'll see.... Otherwise, 4 meds a day -- is a lot to me.Thanks!

Guest guest
thanks for the replies... I had NOT been told that one could cause behavioral problems... I guess I'm glad we'll be starting it before school starts, then! Still waiting for the darn insurance company to agree to cover them but fortunately (for me) my brother works at the hospital and was able to snag me some samples so we can get started. Guest guest
I've heard asthma meds (just like any other meds) can cause behavioural problems. A lot of asthmatics are sensitive to chemicals in diet (eg additives, histamine foods) and many get better control over their asthma with smaller doses of meds by watching diet Miranda > > > thanks for the replies...
