Guest guest
From my experience that is a sign of a yeast flare up. My son could not stop playing with his privates when he was on antivirals because they flared up yeast in him. What type of yeast protocol are you following? Guest guest
It's not normal boy behavior if they can't stop. The groin has more nerve endings than any other place in the body. If a child needs to get tactile input, that's the most efficient place. The face and hands are others. Besides the biomedical treatments mentioned here, sensory integration (OT and PT) will help. Stopped my son from pressing his groin into the floor. > > Better to teach him to do it appropriately, like in his bedroom than try > to extinguish normal boy behaviour IMHO > > Mandi in UK Mum to 3 boys, have many t-shirts > > > In a message dated 10/10/2010 20:36:12 GMT Daylight Time, > onyeanwuli@... writes: > > > > > I hear you. Guest guest
Our experience it is gut related. Usually sweets are to blame. Can be leveled out. For us it has become an indicator as all other " behaviors that are obsessive " have been indicators that something is amiss in the gut or immune system. big problems with son..help! > > Hi All, > > Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop my 4 year old son from > constantly playing with his private part! Guest guest
Sorry, I forgot to add, we do kirkman liquid zinc 70 mg but also homeopathic zincum metallicum 200k, 3 pearls 3x daily on empty stomach. The homeopathic has really made a difference. nancy j. Guest guest
we haven't had this problem, we give it with meals (I know the jury is out on this issue) but we also do the homeopathic on an empty stomach. Don't know if that makes a difference. Have you tried shrinking the dose but giving it more often? nancy j. Guest guest
We' heard conflicting info. We've tried it on an empty stomach, with no nausea; we've done it with foods, with no issues. I guess we are lucky. However I wonder if because we do the homeopathic zinc along with the liquid if that makes a difference??? Don't know. nancy j. Guest guest
> Does anyone else have a hard time upping zinc because of nausea? I have been trying to go up, but cannot. Zinc caused major nausea and vomiting here. I had to give it 3x per day, after a full meal, in relatively small doses [15mg each dose]. Guest guest
Zinc should be given away from meals preferably in the evening several hours after dinner. The reason for this is supplemental zinc may slow the digestive action of dipeptidylpepitdase 4 (DPP4). If you're not familiar with DPP4 is a digestive enzyme, peptidase that breaks down the peptides formed during protein digestion (big factor in casein and gluten proteins). It is recommended to not give zinc at the same time with calcium, iron or folate since they compete for absorption. More zinc info on my blog: http://healingautismandadhd.wordpress.com/supplements/zinc/ Joanne > > we haven't had this problem, we give it with meals (I know the jury is out on this issue) but we also do the homeopathic on an empty stomach. Don't know if that makes a difference. Have you tried shrinking the dose but giving it more often? > > nancy j. > >
