Guest guest
A book that I got for my daughter age 9 to read is All Cats Have Aspergers. She took the book to school and shared it with her teacher. I will find the rest and send the titles to you. From: home2stayandplay <staci444@...>Subject: ( ) What to say to child? Date: Wednesday, May 5, 2010, 7:54 PM Feeling a bit overwhelmed thinking about what to tell my daughter about getting evaluated. Can't seem to seperate the emotions from logic at this point. Any tips about how, kid's books to help take the attention off of her, etc? She just turned seven.thanks,Staci
Guest guest
I told my daughter when she was 9 that she was being tested to help her with school. After the neuropsch evaluation I told her that the therapist said she was very smart, had a very advanced vocabulary and that she had a hard time with math. I think she received this positively. She looks at labels as meaning she is wierd (she is 12) so I don't use Asperger's etc. I focus her on her strengths. I hope all goes well.
