Guest guest
Hello and Happy New Year to everyone! Barb W. - a million warm wishes for a healthy, happy life for your newest member. Is there anything like holding a new baby in your arms and burrowing your face in their " new baby " smell? My oldest has been married a year - almost - but since they've just bought a new home and, they are teachers - I don't think I should start throwing out any hints yet. They are still at the lovey-dovey cuddling stage, so it will be quite a while before I can experience the joy of being a grandmother. I have so enjoyed being a participant and reading all the interesting stuff all our members are finding to share with each other. I also enjoyed having all of my 5 boys during the holidays and have been reading myself silly in front of the fireplace. Books were the preferred gift this year in our family. I do have one nugget I want to share with all of you. I finally got around to reading Dr. St. Amand's book, " What Your Doctor May not Tell You About Fibromyalgia. " (better late than never, right?) He should have named it " What Your Doctor Doesn't Know..., " in my opinion because so few doctors seem to know much about diagnosing and treating FMS. Then, I spent a lot of time thinking about what he is advocating and remembering my own medical history. I'd forgotten a lifetime of problems with low blood sugar because to me, the problems were so minor at the time. But as we all know, after being poisoned by mold, nothing stays minor for long. Anyway, rather than go into a whole lot of detail and bore some of you, let me just say that it is easy to try out the hypoglycemic diet and see if it makes a difference. If you are suffering pain, then the guaifenesin may make a difference to you too. Who knew that everything from ringing in your ears, to panic attacks, racing heatbeat to a fogged out brain could be caused by a malfunction of your biochemistry. If you give this a try let us know how it affects you - so we'll have more evidence. As soon as I've made the transition, I'll report back in too. Best wishes, Barbara _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
