my question is - is there a common pattern you can see with asd kids that says

they are indeed recovering?

our 3 year old asd son went on the gfcf diet and supps almost a year ago - all

we got was more stimming and less eczema. we did mb-12 over the summer and were

blown away by the results - from two words to over 50 in two months' time. since

that time, we have seen a more words, more awareness, but recently a bit of a

slow down - and some regression - in terms of pronouncing words he knows.

his speech has been slurry from day one, but we were encouraged by new sounds he

was saying after the mb-12 (he started saying " L " words like light and lola

which he did not do prior to losing his speech)... but we have been on mb-12 for

four months now and while we continue to see gains, he is still very loose with

his words in terms of pronunciation - he says " ha " for hand, hat, hair, etc.,

" bubba " for baby, bubbles, " ma " for milk, more, mouth, etc. also, we were hoping

he would be trying to construct sentences by now, but with the exception of " all

done " which he treats as a single word we have yet to get phrases, just single

words.

we have been working in hbot (two weeks in and no major improvements, more

stimming and sensory, maybe more compliance) and diflucan.. plus our new dan had

us down the dosage of mb-12 (we went from every other day at .07 to every day at

..04, but he was having some sleepless nights so we went .04 every other day...

this change took effect about -1/2 months ago).

as we have gotten some progress, i find other parents saying they experienced

many of the things we have. while i realize every child is unique, i would love

to have someone lay it all out for me - give a blow by blow especially regarding

speech, as i worry about apraxia. also, how much would chelating help

pronouncing, speaking in phrases or sentences, etc.?

thanks.
