Testing Adults with Aspergers in the United Kingdom

Hello everyone! Just asking and seeking advice on the current Testing on Adults

with Aspergers in the United Kingdom. My partner Math is going for an

re-assessment of his condition. What is involved with this testing etc...

Also enquiring about Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), which my partner at

times shows. Any help would be grateful.

Im new to this condition and love my partner, any advice/help in relationship

building would be welcomed.

Aspergers's testing involves lot of question answering. A possibility of a blood test to discount Fragile X (a genetic condition which had some similarities regarding beh) This is done to discount it. Usually with children it is a multi agency thing. So speech and language testing, plus psychology testing and basically getting as much information about our partner from various sources. Such as you could fill in a GADS questionairre. He could too and also any relatives that know him very well. eg parents.

thankyou very much for the information. I work in psychiatry but have never seen

testing for Aspergers. Anything that will help Math will benefit us both x
