Guest guest
TD Bank has Visa Gift Cards. They are gift cards that are accepted anywhere Visa is. If you have an account there, the card is free. Since it’s a gift card, anyone can use it. I was also told once at the bank that if you have the money from the card taken out of your account then the card # is in your account. This way if you lose it they can cancel it. The same stuff: money on the floor, money falling out of pants pockets in wads.Part of it is his ADD/disorganization, part of it is he really has little concept of money. But here are couple of things we've done. For our son, a wallet with a chain that attaches to a belt loop helped, the other end goes onto wallet. BUT, he never remembers to put change IN wallet, so that's a problem. And then there is the " losing the wallet " factor, so...we got something called a " keyringer " they have them at tone and you attach one to wallet and then the other one is attached to a huge brick-like thing we keep in the kitchen. Then when he loses the wallet, which he invariable does, you use that as a locator.BTW, none of these has helped solve the problem, just aids a little, LOL, good luck.Sue in TN> > > From: patricia <Zazoo81198@...>> Subject: Re: ( ) keeping tract of money> > Date: Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 5:50 PM> > >  > > > > Have you tried the preloaded visa card? > > > > Mom to my 4 girls> Madeline, Cayla, Arabella, & Vincenza> " You are the TRIP I did not take> You are the PEARLS I cannot buy> You are the blue Italian LAKE> YOU are my piece of foreign SKY " > ---Anne ----> > > ( ) keeping tract of money> > >  > > > > anyone have any ideas on how to teach a 15 year old how to keep tract of his money / and not lose it.> I tried a man bag that goes around the neck/shoulder. when it gets in his way at his activity he will take it off and lose it. > when going out with his group - he will forget it in the car then can't get lunch or snacks when the others do.> I tried to get a debit card but in NY he can't have one until he's 18.> not all stores will take gift cards.> I'm going to try the wrist sweat money band (travel-money wrist band) but again it might get in the way and he'll lose it when he takes it off.> what ideas have you tried to teach responsible with money? also, if he see's money on the floor he doesn't think to pick it up.> thanks> > > =>
