Guest guest
We finally told our son that he has Asperger's - he is 8. He asked me today if we could share this information with his class and I was thrilled! For him to now understand why he is different is a HUGE step!!! Now I am scared! One of the very high ups in FISD has offered to help teach the kiddos about Asperger's but I want to add a take-a-way. Something that the kids can bring home to their parents so that should my son do/say something inappropriate they will have a better understanding of the " why " . I know that parents will have their ideas and thoughts about my which is fine, but if I can get to understand my son's unique challenges I will feel as if I have done my job. He is soooooo sweet and still just trying to find his way in the social world of 2nd grade. Anyone have any ideas or letters that they have shared with classmates and would be willing to share with me??? Thanks for all responses!
