Book Reviews and mini-bios

Hello everyone! I was over at the website today playing with the toys.

lol. We used to have two different areas for book information. I moved

everything to one area and changed the book list to a book review list

plus updated a few other things. The books will no longer be in the

" files " section.

To find this area, go to Aspergers Support at . Sign in.

On the left side panel, scan down until you see, " Group Labs " and then

click on " Applications " under that heading. There you will see a list

of tables that we will have up - everything from selling something to

telling us who you are, sharing where you live, putting up interesting

web pages and giving book reviews. Please go look around and let me

know what you think! Anything missing that you feel should be added? I

tried to edit each form so that it fit our group's needs.

For people who had previously suggested a book on the book list, when I

moved it over it may not fully express what you wanted to say because

the new tablet is more suited to this application. A few books did not

survive the move as well. (sorry, feel free to add your book again!) I

also did not know what rating you would give each book. These are able

to be edited! Please go into your suggested book and feel free to edit

whatever you want - add or subtract comments, etc.

For people who want to add their own two cents to the book review, feel

free to click on and do it! I like this form because we CAN do that and

then people can get a better idea about each book from multiple sources

- it's interactive. Anyone who wants to comment on a book can add their

thoughts and rating. We know what we need in a book about AS/HFA so

this should be a wonderful help for many people.

If you have a book you do not see listed, please add it to the list by

giving the first review! Simply click on " add entry " located in the

upper right corner. Then fill it out. You put the title and author,

plus a description on the form. Submit. On the next page to come up,

you will have a place to give your opinion and also rate the book by

clicking on the stars. Then submit. It's easy and fast!

I also noted that we have a file in the files section where we are

sharing who we are, how many kids we have, etc. I have added a similar

tablet in the " Group Lab " section as well and would like to eventually

delete the table in the files section. This is because the new tablet

forms are better suited to doing these things. Feel free to fill out

the new tablet instead! Click on " Who are you? " and fill in as much or

little info as you want. For the kids tab within this form, you can

click the plus sign below this field to add more fields for each child

you have. I put myself up as an example. If you have questions, please

And everyone go look and participate! We have very few listings for

books and I haven't had time to add more than a few of the books I

like. I know we have some big readers in this group so please feel free

to share what you like and what you don't like!!
