Only an Aspie!! > > THIS MORNING I WENT AROUND THE CIRCLE AND ASKED THE CHILDREN WHAT THEY WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS. MOSTLY IT WAS PSP2, SOMETHING ELSE TECHY AND GAMES FOR THE TECHY STUFF. I GOT TO SCOTT AND VERY UNEXPECTEDLY HE SAID HE WISHED I COULD GO AND SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH THE BOYS. IT SO SURPRISED AND TOUCHED ME THAT I BEGAN TO CRY. THE CLASS GOT VERY QUIET AS MY TEARS ROLLED DOWN. THE LITTLE GIRLS STARTED TO COO LIKE GIRLS DO IN SHOW OF EMOTIONS AND I WAS TRYING TO PULL MYSELF TOGETHER WITH NO AVAIL. AFTER A MINUTE OR TWO GRAHAM RAISED HIS HAND...YES, GRAHAM? GRAHAM REPLIES, I CHANGED MY MIND, I THINK I'D LIKE AN IPHONE. > GRATEFULLY GRAHAM CHANGED THE MOOD AND WE ALL LAUGHED. > YOU KNOW I LOVE GRAHAM, RIGHT? >
Guest guest
Haha! This is too cute! I have one I'd like to share as well since we are in topic of the hilirous things our AS kids will say. I'd picked up from school the other day and in his fasion he started a conversation, the toipc of the day was "why am I diffrent?" I have not made his aspergers a closed subject to him or any of my other NT children. So when he asked me I simpily told him he was just the way God made him to be, and yes He made you diffrent form most people. I then asked him if he rembered that he had Asperger's. "No mom! I like regular burgers. You know burgers with cheese and no pickles! I like those burgers!" I about died laughing right then and there! And that was followed by, - "Mom I'm awsome." Me - "Yes, so you like having aspergers?" - "Yeah it makes me pretty amazing" I will never forget the kind of burgers he likes again though!
