Guest guest
WOW! That is amazing... under horrible happinings. I'm very sorry for your daughters loss, I know just how difficult it is to abruptly loose your best friend. But it is great she found a constructive outlet for herself. It’s a poem my 12 yo daughter wrote last night. She is having a hard time at the moment. Her best friend died last week (was actually beaten to death by his father). She’s having a hard time understanding it as well as dealing with him being gone. Jalen was the one who stuck up for her when she was being picked on. He was the only one who really “got†her. She wrote this poem last night. I’m at a crossroads at how I should feel about it. On one end I’m ecstatic that she is able to express herself like this and that it actually makes sense and is in the right context and format, etc. On the other hand, you can feel the grieving and confusion in her words. The grief counselor at school told her that you can talk to people in Heaven. Kaelyn, of course took this literally, so I had to explain it to her last night. Anyway, attached is what she wrote. …moments of an Aspie parent. SSG Marina M on JAX MEPS (904) 737-5220 office (904) 531-6207 cell marina.harrison@...
