Hi Beth,

Texas is one of the best States for homeschool. The lasws are lenient. Basically all you have to do is homeschool your child and cover the basic courses of

Good citizenship, math, reading, spelling and grammar. Here's a synopsis of the law:

You can SChool around your schedule. I'd encourage you to become involved in a homeschool group in your ARea. If you happen to be in the Dallas area, let me know, I have a friend there who would be glad to help you.

Best wishes.

Tricia

I'm considering pulling my son from middle school and homeschooling due to bullying that has been unresolved despite sooo many meetings, phone calls and emails. I'm wondering if it's doable? I'm a single mom and work full time. I'm a nurse though, so I work on weekend nights and am off during the day for most of the week. If anyone does this in Texas, are there laws/requirements I should be aware of? What are your favorite resources and how do your provide for your child's social needs?
