Guest guest
As well-known, the energy use for building service contributes a significant portion to the toal energy use. One of recent approaches is to utilize building mass (or fistures) to reduce heating/cooloing load or shift the peak load toward off-peak time. For this, ventilation air is supplied and contacted by building fixtures (e.g. concrete slab) for pre-cooling/heating the supplied air. My question is whether these solid concrete slabs are generating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or not. This is an issue as this pre-warmed/cooled air is supplied into occupied zones sometimes and the VOCs are complicate indoor air pollutants. So if you have any related experience or resources related to this, I'd like to ask you to share them with me. It'll be very useful and appreciated. Thanks, Heekwan
