Guest guest
My dh and I are getting fed up with Amazing Race, which we usually love. They are so jerky with that camera and we never know who is doing what or when. They show two seconds of one team, flash to another for four seconds, then to a third....and on and on until you are dizzy. That plus the over dramatized music track - it makes a person want to scream. Is it just us? Last year we were a little unhappy at some of the tasks they made the contestants do. Like one time they had to climb up to get something while the natives were all pummeling them with paint or something. It looked painful really. Another time, they had to run through the streets in their underwear in the cold weather while people stared and gawked. It just seems like they keep making the tasks more like " Fear Factor-ish " as they go along. My personal favorite was when they had to find the right set of false teeth for the people of one country. OMG! I hope they stop doing that. I can't wait for the teams to pair down so we can start following them without feeling ADD-overload. lol... Â Roxanna " The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. " E. Burke ( ) Amazing Race contestent has Asperge rs Syndrome I think I posted about this before, but the Amazing Race on CBS has a team composed of best friends, one with Asperger's. I LOVE watching the two of them interact on the show. So far it hasn't been portrayed as much as a " disability " but really more of a " condition, " which I like. I think they placed 2nd in one of the last races...woo-hoo! I'm going to be so disappointed if they don't win, but until then, it's great to see a man living with Aspergers who seemingly has a good life and a great friend. If anyone else is watching, let me know what you think!
