Guest guest
We do go to see Dr Brown at ARCH and Dr Thothatri and they are both wonderful- if it weren't for them we wouldn't have caught a mutlitude of things my son was having issues with. Expensive but worth it- check out grants from Angel Autism Network and other places to help cover the expense- generation rescue had a wonderful grant a while ago for families that had never tired biomedical before - I would check into that if you consider ARCH or other biomedical treatments. He has helped me understand and help me son more than anything else that we've done.http://spectrummentor.com/also--I have not been but have heard great things about this facility-they spoke at autsim one in chicago in may.http://www.archmedicalcenter.com/WI has A LOT to offerhttp://www.assew.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/2009.pdfhttp://www.assew.org/Is the Pfieffer clinic/center near you?I am in ILL also but a little east of rockford. I have other resources as well.My 11 yo son has AS and we are currently on the biomedical path. We spent about 5 years just working on behavior and social/emotional. I came across the biomed info at a time when I was receptive to it and it has been quite the eye opener. If you are interested in BIOMED...check out TACA. I think it's taca.orgThere is a whole clinic by you now..i think..With Dr's using the DAN protocol (defeat autism now).I just threw lots of into at you, so let me know if you have ??'sSusie>> Hey Everyone,> > I don't post much, but always appreciate your sentiments, information, frustration and joys that you share when I get a chance to read the posts.> > I am having a tough time with my recently diagnosed (june) Aspie almost nine year old boy. I think he is dealing with some depression and anxiety and wondering if there are some physical issues that might be overlooked. I have taken him to so many people: western docs, 3 counselors, naturopaths, homeopaths, craniosacral therapists, OTs, chiropractors and more. I just want to find someone who will leave no stone unturned without making him feel like a guinea pig. I want to find out if there could be something off with his cortisol levels, seratonin or something else. I want to find someone I have confidence in! so, we are in Rockford, IL...no a lot of resources. I am wondering if any of you are in Chicago, Madison, Wi or Milwaukee and have a really amazing holistic doctor to recommend. They can be allopathic, but I just want a whole picture kind of doctor who knows his/her stuff when it comes to aspergers.> > I am also interested in any suggestions for natural ways to deal with mild depression. > > > Thanks so much ahead of time!> > > Jessie>
