Northern Va Psychiatrist Recommendation Needed

Hi All,

Can anybody recommend a pyschiatrist in the northern virginia area that has a

reputation for being prudent in prescribing medications for children? In other

words, someone who leans towards being conservative in NOT prescribing meds but

does do so when warranted.

We see Dr Oxana Jourkiv in Fairfax. My son is medicated but she's very receptive to keeping it to the minimum useful doses and didn"t give me any trouble when I stated that I wanted him off Risperdal bc it wasn't doing any good. Google her and her info will come right up. Very nice and thorough.
