, try looking parasites, it is four days before full moon, and my

daughter has major issues at that time, insomnia, sugar disturbances,

distended belly, and we have started treating her for parasites. Look it

up, do a search for parasites full moon, and you will not believe the

closeness of symptoms.

My Katy(not ASD) has emptying problems that come and go. Most drs will give you

the evil drug reglan for this. Do NOT give this to a kid who has seizures or

other neurological problems without looking at all your options. Enzymes and

making sure the child is getting only well tolerated foods can help. There are

some other drugs that help with motility without the evil side effects of

Reglan. They are Domperidone and Erythromycin(low dose antibiobtic that can

cause faster emptying). Foods lower in protein and fiber digest more quickly

and can get a child through a period of slow emptying. With Katy, it is much

easier to tell if she is emptying slowly because she has g tube, so I can draw

out the food in her tummy to check for residuals, since you don't have that

luxury you have to go by symptoms. When Katy is emptying slowly I give her baby

rice cereal, applesauce, rice milk and honey and mix it rather thin so she can

digest easily. I usually

have to do this for 2 meals and then we can move on to more protein and fiber

rich foods slowly over the next day or so. HTH.

Subject: Things that go bump in the night??

I am sure that everyone here on this group goes through this, racking

your brain and trying to find answers as to WHY this things are

happening WEll, last night, ( this has been going on for 3 weeks and

counting) after getting up at 2 30 am...I started to go back and

figure out why all of sudden he is waking so early.

It could be...the enzymes not sure though I just started them

actually about 1 month ago.

It could be the fact that he does not chew his food well causing a

stomach ache???

It could be reflux..common among children with ASD..I have heard him

cough in the middle of the night and then he can not settle himself.

He is also non- verbal, so I have look at his behaviour.

So around 4 am this morning I started to look up some things what I

found was a condition that the stomach does not empty fast enough

kind of a slow mobility problem. and sure enough my son has pretty

much all the symptoms.

1. vomits (sometimes hours after eating - and it will be his

breakfast!!! )

2. belching

3. tummy gets very large by the end of the day

4. Takes anti seizure meds and this med could effect the muscles that

are needed for the stomach to work properly???

I tried to give him 6 smaller meals and this seamed to help a little.

SOrry so long a post but I was curious if any one out there has any

info or insight into this condition.

I am making a appt. with his doctor don;t worry...he will get an

earful. lol

take care everyone

taking some zzzzzzzzz's now

Try increasing the yeast protocol.

Yeast overgrowth and food intolerance can cause these.
