Guest guest
i have heard many stories from a teacher that it is routine that kids hit and even bite the teacher and others in an autism classroom. the only way to really get at that is more paras. the child who does the hitting needs a 1:1 helper and sometimes that does not even get at it. i have a helper that now teaches in a year round middle school autism room- she gets bit and hit on a regular basis. If so, could you please share how the school system should be handling this so that it doesn't occur again and how would they assure parents that their children are in safe environment?
