Guest guest
What a cute story! Thanks for sharing it with us. Pam > > I promised my 5yo ASD ds we would go to the pet store after school today to see what a pet store is if he was good. Well, it was time to go, and he was playing with something while he was waiting for me to be ready to leave after school. I said, " It is time to put that away and go to the pet store. " He proceeded to ignore me and continue to put pieces on. I said, " If you put anymore pieces on, we will not go to the pet store. " So he proceeded to put another piece on and see what I would do about it. Needless to say, he has been a wreck all afternoon. We were in the car on the way home from school, and in protest he says, " I'm going to eat my dandelion! " > " Go right ahead, people eat dandelions in salad, " I returned. So he eats the dandelion in protest. His NT brothers, ages 6 and 4, who are riding next to him in the car are hysterical with laughter at this point, and my aspie is starting to lighten up a bit about losing the trip to the pet store. His brothers are dying to know if it tastes good, to which he squeaks out " no! " Meanwhile, 4yo ds is trying to convince 6yo ds to eat his dandelion. " It's good for you . It's part of salad. " Older brother is having none of it, so the 4yo says to his AS brother, " , here, eat my dandelion too! " comes back with, " No, I only eat TWO dandelions per day. " Apparently he had eaten both of his dandelions in protest. > > >
