And I hope that if you ask for behavior advice that thetherapist uses solid behavioral therapy (like ABA or positivereinforcement with shaping). I found many therapistill equipped to give behavior advice. I hopeshe directs you to social skill training that willtrain the parents on how to improve non verbalcommunication. This is a tough area to makeimpact on for some kids. I also hope this therapistwill help write letters and advocate at the school. You need support. If she doesn't want to get involvedwith the school (and some don't) and you have anyschool issues (most people with AS kids do) look for a therapist that will help. I have found nueropyschologist better understand ASthan therapist that mostly focus on anxiety and ADHDkids. But sometimes there are therapist that reallyfocus on AS kids and understand them well. If your child has any LD's or slow processing speedthe therapist should understand the issues with that. A nueropsch would. I got a good feeling about her. We even found out we have a friend in common.> > Any words of advice as we begin our journey?> > __________________________________________________________> Hotmail has tools for the New Busy.
