Nintendo DS game for getting kids to exercise

Hi,

The wii posts reminded me to share this. My son has a Nintendo DS Pokemon game

that came with a pedometer that lets you earn Pokemon by walking. It has been

great for us. He used to hate to go for walks with the family and now not only

does he go with us whenever the dog slows down he starts jogging in place to

earn more points. He also wants to go far enough to earn a Pokemon so there is

no whining to go home after a block or two.

It is called a Pokewalker and it looks like a flat Pokemon ball. He tells me it

comes with packaged with some versions of Soul Silver and Heart Gold Pokemon

games (I think that is what he told me). It communicates with the DS to tell the

game what you have earned.

Thought this might help someone else who is looking for ways to get their child

to burn off some energy and exercise.
